The project “Integrated Community Service Centers – an intervention model for Roma inclusion and empowerment” (2020–2023), implemented by SASTIPEN with EEA and Norwegian funding, developed an integrated and replicable intervention model in three vulnerable communities. Three community centers were established and delivered medical-social, educational, legal, and employment services directly within the community, supporting more than 1,600 people.
The project promoted civic participation, youth training, and the involvement of Roma women, contributing to reduced discrimination and better access to public services. Its major impact lay in strengthening collaboration between communities and authorities and in securing local ownership for the sustainability of the interventions.
